About:
The ATLAS (Automatically Tuned Linear Algebra Software) project is an ongoing research effort focusing on applying empirical techniques in order to provide portable performance. It provides C and Fortran77 interfaces to a portably efficient BLAS implementation, as well as a few routines from LAPACK.
Release focus: Minor feature enhancements
Changes:
A performance bug where JITcp was always called
from ATL_gemmXX.c was fixed. A bug where complex
GEMM sometimes read C when BETA=0 was fixed. The
FreeBSD architecture probe was improved. The Linux
CPU throttling probe was improved. Itanium 2
detection was added as "McKinley" in
archinfo_linux. Cleanup was done for the 4x1 case
for 64-bit sgemm.
